The All about Allergens online training provides access to food service training that is fast, easy and free. The free comprehensive training program provides need to know information relevant for those in the food service industry and is presented using videos and interactive activities.

The All about Allergens online course contains five units.  Each unit include video information and interactive activities.  The final unit includes a final quiz, which on successful completion, allows participants to print a certificate.

These resources are designed to help hospitals and other institutional facilities to manage food allergy. They are designed to be used together to provide a complete resource kit for food allergen management.

They can be freely downloaded and adapted for individual sites.

All about allergens resource hubThis hub provides an overview of the legislative context for food allergens in food service and manufacturing and also information to assist authorised officers to help to improve practises around food allergen management. 

Authorised officers have the opportunity to help educate the food service and food manufacturing sectors about food allergen management.



2019 250K All phoneThe 250K website - ‘250K – A hub for the 250,000 young Australians living with severe allergies’ - aims to provide age-appropriate information and resources to assist young people who are living with severe allergies, and to help them to feel more connected with other teens and young adults going through similar experiences in a fun but informative way.

With a fun and cutting-edge look and feel, the 250K website was designed by young people for young people and now has a new section for young adults.

The 250K homepage now provides an option for young people to access the original school-aged teens site or a new site developed for young adults. 

The 250K school-aged teens site has been refreshed with a new homepage to make finding information easier. The young adult site has been created to allow young adults to access information particularly relevant to them. Topics include managing allergies at university and in the workplace, when travelling, when moving out, dating and when starting a family.

The 250K  school-aged teens site website is also supported by a slide set that schools will be able to access to help increase awareness about severe allergies.



Food allergy education website

food allergy education websiteThe new food allergy education website provides an information hub for people with food allergy, their families and friends. The website provides practical information about preparing food at home, eating out, choosing foods, traveling with food allergy, camps, hospital stays and how to report a reaction to packaged foods or foods when eating out.  The website also includes links to other credible resources and websites.




Nip Allergies in the BubThe Nip Allergies in the Bub website has been developed as part of the Food Allergy Prevention Project.

Alongside the online resources, face to face education of general practitioners, child maternal health nurses and pharmacists has been provided to inform and support health professionals. In preparation for the national roll-out, education sessions for general practitioners have been provided in most states.
