Health Professionals

My Health Record can provide clinical immunology/allergy specialists and other members of a patient’s healthcare team with better access to health information to support them in caring for their patients.

Healthcare professionals can use a conformant clinical information system to upload an event summary or specialist letter to their patient’s My Health Record that might include information about their test results, allergic status, management plan, commencement of allergen immunotherapy or other treatments.

The accessibility of information about a patient’s food and/or drug allergy is an important step to improve patient safety in this area.
