Learn how to use My Health Record in a virtual classroom

If you would like to learn how to use My Health Record but not sure where to start, you can join one of the virtual classroom sessions being offered by the Australian Digital Health Agency during February and March 2021.

These one hour sessions are aimed at Specialists, GPs, Practice Managers and Practice Nurses who want to use My Health Record more effectively in routine practice.

Which session should you join?

If you are using one of the following Clinical Information Systems (CIS) you can join one of the following sessions.

These sessions will be tailored to the specific practice software and the instructor will use a software simulator to demonstrate how to:

  • access a patient’s My Health Record via conformant software;
  • use filters to find documents;
  • view documents and overviews;
  • enter access codes for patients with protected documents/records;
  • upload documents to My Health Record; and
  • ensure appropriate security and access governance mechanisms are in place.

If you do not currently have access to conformant clinical software, you can join the session about National Provider Portal (NPP) access to My Health Record.

These sessions will demonstrate how to:

  • log onto the Provider Portal via PRODA
  • use filters to find documents
  • view documents and overviews
  • enter access codes for patients with protected documents/records
  • download documents to your local system; and
  • ensure appropriate security and access governance mechanisms are in place.

There are also sessions on compliance requirements and data quality that may be of interest to clinical immunology/allergy specialists working in private practice.
